Winter squash is a warm-season annual that can be direct seeded or transplanted once threat of frost has passed. To harvest, cut stem at least 2 inches from fruit to prevent rot in storage. Winter squash have thicker skin and are suitable for winter storage with the proper care.
SWEET REBA ACORN SQUASH Outperformed Table Ace F1 in bush habit, mildew resistance, yield, flavor, uniformity and ripeness in our trials. 4-5 fruits/plant. 2-2.5 lb fruit. One of the sweetest winter squash but not as sweet as butternut. Acorn squash do not need curing before storage. 1/8 oz pack. OP
HONEYNUT BUTTERNUT SQUASH Our long time farm favorite for winter squash. Adorable, serving size mini butternut with dark tan skin and great sweet flavor. Delectable squash is smaller than Ponca with more uniform butternut shape. Green unripe fruits; early planting is recommended for tan color. Sweetest of all the butternuts. When it is ripe the color turns from green to dark tan. Vining habit. 1/2 - 1 lb fruit stores well. 1/16 oz pack OP
BURGESS BUTTERCUP SQUASH Dark green fruits with golden orange, stringless flesh and sweet, rich flavor. A long-time New England favorite! Typically produces 10-12 3-5 lb fruits per plant, with vines reaching 15' long. Our improved strain has a high percentage of clean, non-warty and uniform squash. Fruits have a gray button on the blossom end. 1/8 oz pack. OP
BRÛLÉE BUTTERNUT SQUASH A prolific and early producer of stout, personal-sized (1/2 - 1 lb) squashes with traditional butternut color. Though not as sweet, Brûlée is earlier and better storing than the popular Honeynut. 1/8 oz pack. OP
